Remove Defects | Restore Shine

Wellington Paint correction and restoration

Here at Clean Car Collective, we understand the importance of shine and gloss in a vehicles overall aesthetic. We pride ourselves in our ability to restore your vehicle to a greater than-showroom shine.

Paint Enhancement

Estimated time 1-1.5 days

Our enhancement package is the first service we offer to remove a variety of paint defects while enhancing the vehicles gloss and shine.

We start with a full body detail and two-step (mechanical and chemical) paint decontamination. We then prep the vehicle for a 1-stage machine polish. This will remove various forms of light damage such as swirl marks, light paint transfer, water spots, and minor scratches. Deeper scratches or damage will not be removed by this service. We then apply a  standard 6-month paint sealant to lock in the correction and provide protective properties. This can be upgraded to a ceramic coating of your choosing on request.

The beauty of our paint enhancement is that it can remove light defects while enhancing the original gloss and shine of the paintwork. This service is ideal for enthusiasts on a budget or cars straight out of the dealership.

2- Step correction

Estimated time 1.5-2.5 days

Our two-step correction process removes clearcoat damage and locks in shine and gloss for years to come.

We start with a full body detail and two-step (mechanical and chemical) paint decontamination. We prep all plastic and delicate surfaces before carefully examining the damage that needs to be corrected. The paint then undergoes a 2-step correction process. The first step is a compounding (or cutting) stage where defects such as moderate swirl marks, etching, holograms, and moderate scratches are removed. Each panel is alcohol wiped and then examined for quality. The second step involves a polishing stage in which the gloss and shine of the paint are restored. We then coat the vehicle with a light ceramic coating providing up to 1 year of protection. This can be upgraded to longer-lasting protection on request.

Paint correction is the process of removing defects such as scratches, swirls, hazing ect from the layer of clearcoat above your paint. Depending on your budget and target defect removal %, we undergo several cutting, refining, and finishing stages to restore your paint to a better-than-showroom shine.

Paint correction isn't for everyone. If you care about your investment and the appearance of your vehicle, paint correction and a protective coating will ensure your vehicle stays looking brand new, for longer. A suitable coating also aids in making your vehicle easier to clean, ensuring you are able to keep the vehicle looking consistently beautiful yourself or allowing us to for discounted rates.

A ceramic coating is a thin liquid that chemically bonds to your paint to create a ceramic barrier between your clearcoat and the elements. It provides hydrophobic properties, incredible gloss, and shine, and protects from harmful natural elements such as UV rays, water spots, and chemical and environmental damage while making cleaning your vehicle a breeze.

Similar to a ceramic coating, a paint sealant provides many of the same benefits such as richer gloss and chemical protection over a shorter timeframe. Our sealant lasts for 6 months and lacks the same chemical bond that forms with a real ceramic coating, but provides a cost-friendly alternative that can be replenished each time you book your car in.

Paint correction and the relevant coatings can get confusing. Give us a call or text on 0210768973 to have a chat with one of our paint correction specialists. We are more than happy to walk you through the process and curate a custom-tailored plan for your vehicle and budget.
